For this steak marinade, you will need:

3 cloves of garlic, crushed
1 tbsp mushroom ketchup
2 tsp Maggi sauce
1 tbsp soya sauce
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp onion granules
2 tbsp oil

(enough for about 1.5lb or approx. 700g beef steak)

Mix together all the ingredients except the oil. Rub over steaks. Prick all over with a fork and refrigerate for at least 4 hours. Roll the steak in oil before cooking on high heat.
