For French toast, you will need:
4 slices of white bread
2 eggs, beaten
2 tsp sugar
125ml milk
50g butter
100ml golden syrup
(serves 2)
Whisk together eggs, sugar and milk. Soak the bread in the mixture until complete absored. Melt half the butter in a non-stick frying pan over low-medium heat. Gently fry each side of the bread until golden (low heat and patience is the key here). Serve with the rest of the butter and syrup.
