Ingredients:
120g butter
75g caster sugar
60g soft brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
1 lightly beaten egg
220g self-raising flour
125g chocolate chips
1 teaspoon salt
60g walnuts (optional)
Directions:
Pre-heat oven to 180C.
Beat butter, brown sugar, caster sugar & vanilla essence until light & fluffy.
Add lightly beaten egg and beat the mixture again until creamy.
Stir the mixture in flour, salt & chocolate chips & combine.
Shape teaspoonful’s of mixture into small balls.
Place on lightly greased baking tray allowing room for spreading.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown & firm.
Makes about 48 yummy cookies.
