For creamed potato, you will need:
8 medium-sized white-fleshed potatoes (maris piper or similar)
50g butter
50ml cream
50ml milk
salt and pepper
(serves 4)
Peel and cut the potatoes into large chunks. Put in a saucepan and cover with water. Bring to boil and simmer until cooked (check if you can put a fork through the potato with ease). Drain. In a separate pan, warm the butter, milk and cream, but do not boil. Add this mixture to the potato and mash with a vegetable masher until smooth (you can also use a food processor for this). Add salt and pepper to taste.
